Spring Arrangement

Spring arrangement yellow and orange tone.

In this design: Forsynthias, tulips, roses and gerberas.

Montreal Orchid Show 2008

This arrangement was created in 2008 for the Montreal Orchid show.

The orchid floral design is placed on a circular black metal pot.

The circular movement was created with bamboo fibers and lilly grasses and

inside of the pot, there is a thick branch placed firmly with 3 cybidiums placed on top of it.

Arami orchids are used to create long and short lines.

Love Insight


Chic and elegant, a stylized placement of red roses forms a heart-shaped crater, giving a hint of drama deep down this dark ceramic bowl. Very thin bamboo fibres spiral randomly amongst artificial green vines, suggesting textured sensitivity.

In the Mood for Love

Love floats up high. Intricately woven around a heart-shaped paper mache, a ponytail of lily grasses dress up the form, creating a cascading effect. Dark red spray roses crown the top of the shape, with red beads descending as they captivate delicate intricacies like those of a human emotion – love.

Tower of Love


A Zen-inspired towering arrangement, this brings out dominance, strength and confidence in a bold and daring way. Three bamboo sticks stand firmly atop a clear crystal vase, accented with shades of green accordion and anthurium leaves. Five hand-tied bouquets cling to the bamboo, appearing as if they are naturally growing in the midst of tropical ambiance. This arrangement measures up to 165 centimetres in height.

Sonia's Biography

Sun Ja Park, cafa, also known as Sonia Park, has been involved in the floral art and design industry for 20 years. Originally from South Korea, Sonia has a degree in graphic design and incorporates this experience when creating floral works of art. Sonia has also attended private floral institutions to enhance her skills and to learn new trends in contemporary European, North American and French-Canadian arrangements. She incorporates a wide variety of hard goods into her style such as bamboo, twigs and branches, in effect, blending harmonious and contrasting arrays of accessories with natural greens. In October 2008, Sonia was inducted as a new CAFA member. Together with her husband Paul and family, Sonia is the owner of Dépot des Fleurs in Montreal and has served the community for the last seven years.

I’m starting this blog so that people get to see more of my floral designs. I already have a website but it's mostly for standard orders. I wanted to show you through this blog a little bit more of my personal designs. Visit my blog every now and then to see my style of floral designs.
